What we need...

TerraQuest is seeking an accomplished Lead Business Development Manager to lead the Land Referencing division's growth strategy. TerraQuest is THE founding provider of land referencing in the UK. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in identifying, nurturing, and closing new business opportunities within the land referencing sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence and revenue in this critical area.

What you will be doing…

Business Growth Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the Land Referencing division, aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate market opportunities, trends, and customer needs.

Partner Management:

  • Identify, assess, and establish strategic partnerships with key players in the land referencing industry, including technology providers, government agencies, and consulting firms.
  • Collaborate with partners to create mutually beneficial programs and initiatives that drive business growth.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders in the land referencing sector.
  • Understand client pain points and collaboratively develop tailored solutions.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential clients, competitors, and emerging trends.
  • Analyse market data to inform strategic decision-making.

New Business Acquisition:

  • Lead the process of identifying and targeting new business prospects within the land referencing domain.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to bid management to closing.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with the Land Referencing division's internal teams, including product development and operations, to ensure alignment with client needs and seamless service delivery.

 What we are looking for…

Essential

Applicants will have:

  • Proven track record of success in a senior business development or sales leadership role within the land referencing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of land referencing processes, regulations, and technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Market leading bid management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective business development strategies.

Desired Skills:

 

  • Degree in Business, Land Surveying, or related field.
  • Industry certifications or memberships related to land referencing or geospatial technologies.
  • Experience working with government agencies or large enterprises in land referencing projects.
