What we need...

Terraquest is looking to add an experienced User Researcher to join the design team. This role reports into the UX/UI Lead and sits within a multidisciplinary solutions team. 

 

Who you will be working with…….

You will be joining a growing, experienced and evolving team that is embedded in the agile development product cycles at TerraQuest. Collaboration, shared learning and user centred design are at the heart of what the UX/UI team do and shapes the solutions delivered by the scrum teams we support.  

 

The Product Management Team within Solutions includes Product Owners, Business Analysts and UX/UI Designers. 

 

These roles all work with or within SCRUM Teams, that include, a SCRUM Master, Product Owner, Architect, Developers and Quality Assurance Analyst. SCRUM teams are also supported by DevOps. 

 

What you will be doing.....

The primary focus of the role is to own the User research processes and strategy to

support the development on of products and features for our users. As the expert on our users and their behaviours you will support the wider business in understanding the users of TerraQuest products, competitor products and potential future products. You will own or support key discovery phases of development lifecycle and work with the design team on aligning solutions with the data. 

 

  • Working directly with (but not exclusive to), Users, Customers, Clients, Designers, Product owners, Business analysts, SME’s and business stakeholders to understand business and product needs 
  • Running and supporting product owners and Business analysts in discovery phases of projects 
  • Competitor analysis 
  • Price point analysis 
  • Conducting quantitative and qualitative research 
  • Carrying out thematic analysis of research data 
  • Owning and curating a research repo  
  • Producing discovery reports and regular insight bulletins for specific products or for key new insights 
  • Providing the evidence to support designs in creating hypotheses to respond to business needs 
  • Producing UX artifacts that articulate how findings could impact user journeys 
  • Building user relationships that can be utilised for regular research and testing 
  • Peer reviewing of team member’s work 
  • Mentoring more junior team members 

 

What we are looking for....

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a researched focus User Researcher or UX designer and be familiar with agile development processes. You will be a strong communicator who is confident presenting to key stakeholders and will have experience applying quantitative and qualitative research methods. In addition, the ideal candidate will also have experience using GA, Hotjar (or equivalent) and research repo’s such as dovetail
