Want we need…..

Here at TerraQuest, we’re looking to add an Agile Business Analyst to our BA function within the Product Management Team. Having recently launched the flagship product in our portfolio, this is an exciting time to join the organisation as we look to further develop and expand our suite of products across land, planning & data technology.

As a Business Analyst you will join an experienced and growing Product Team which includes Business Analysts, Product Owners and UX & UI Designers. Working within our Solutions function, we work together to build, develop and continuously improve our market leading suite of products, with a focus on user centred, data-driven design and utilising scalable, re-usable services to deliver business value.

You will be working in an Agile environment, aligned closely to SCRUM teams to deliver products that support TerraQuest's vision, meet market needs, and are delivered to a consistently high standard.

What you will do….

The objective of the role is to undertake business analysis activities across a range of internal and external projects and initiatives. You will be critical in the development and continuous improvement of an expanding suite of market leading products, with a focus on ensuring our products meet both customer and business needs.

You will have the opportunity to work across a number of areas and projects; working with both internal and external customers to configure and implement products within our portfolio, to enhance and improve existing products and to design and develop brand new products.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building relationships with, and actively engaging and communicating with, internal and external customers, clients, partners & suppliers.
  • Analysing business and system processes, solutions, and service provisions to make recommendations for improvements.
  • Bridging the gap between the technical teams and the customers & clients, to enable a collaborative approach to identifying improvements and opportunities, and agreeing requirements and solutions
  • Supporting discovery and research phases of projects.
  • Engaging with non-technical audiences to communicate product development and system enhancement concepts.
  • Working with Product Owners to create and manage the product backlog.

Your key activities will include:

  • Facilitating workshops and meetings with customers and clients to achieve stated objectives and the required outputs/outcomes.
  • Capturing As-Is and To-Be ways of working, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Creating high level business requirements which effectively communicate the project or product vision & goals.
  • Creating and managing user stories with robust acceptance criteria.
  • Analysis of business requirements and the proposal of business solutions which help the client and customer achieve their business objectives.
  • Peer reviewing of team member’s work
  • Participating in all Agile SCRUM ceremonies as required.
  • Producing documentation as and when required, including
    • Business Process Documentation
    • Business Requirements (Functional and Non-functional)
    • User Stories
    • Change Management Documentations
    • Business Cases
    • Presentation material

 

What we are looking for…..

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Business Analyst in an agile environment. You will have worked on projects throughout the who lifecycle and have experience writing business cases. Candidates with a PM experience are also desirable
