What we need...
Due to a period of sustained growth, we are looking to recruit a Solutions Architect to join our Solutions Team.
Reporting to the Head of Architecture and working within Architecture Team, the Solution Architect will be primarily responsible for evaluating TerraQuest’s business needs and determining how technology can support those needs leveraging software, hardware and infrastructure.
Working closely with the Head of Architecture and Solutions Operations Team, Solution Architect will bridge communication between IT department and business operations to ensure key people are aligned in developing and implementing technical solutions for business problems
What you will be doing…..
- Act as a technical leader, mentor and advisor for development teams in matters of software design, implementation and deployment - with an emphasis on Microsoft Azure related technologies.
- Take ownership of technical aspects of customer relationships.
- Produce high level designs and architectures for relevant software solutions and solution components.
- As required produce proof of concept and reference implementations key for technical requirements.
- Collaboratively ensure that Agile software methodology is being followed.
- Keep the company abreast of significant developments in the areas of Software Development and assist the organisation in keeping at the forefront of established technologies.
- Provide occasional support in pre-sales activities (not responsible for leading pre-sales activities, only supporting under guidance)
- Preparation of business case documentation, functional specifications, process mapping, report writing, and presentational material as required.
What we are looking for ……
The ideal candidate will have commercial experience in design and deploying production workloads into Cloud infrastructure as well as experience in working within Agile software development team. Good level of familiarity with software development lifecycle tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira is also required. In addition, you will have a thorough understanding and practical implementation experience of modern solution design patterns, design approaches and styles such as microservices, DDD, SOA etc.
