Location- Birmingham

Salary- £40,000 to £60,000 based on experience

What we need....

The Product Owners work in the Product Management Team which includes Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers and User Researcher roles.

 

A Product Owner will work as part of SCRUM Team, which includes, a SCRUM Master, Product Owner, Architect, Developers and Quality Assurance Analyst. SCRUM teams are also supported by DevOps and UX and UI Designers. You will own and be accountable for one or more of TerraQuest’s products, delivering products and services that add value to the business and the customer. A driving force behind product delivery whose presence must be visible, vocal, and objective.

 

What you will do.....

  • Create, manage, and own the product vision. Be able to describe the purpose of the product, its intention, and clearly describe the goals. Understand the problems we are trying to solve and accurately represent real customer needs.
  • Bring together key representatives from across TerraQuest to develop product solutions, and define clear priorities based on business value. Be responsible for representing the customer to the SCRUM teams.
  • Be a champion of user-centred design by actively engaging with customers, including facilitating stakeholder workshops, customer focus groups, interviews, user research and user testing sessions, to ensure the product meets customer needs.
  • To work across teams in the business, and with external suppliers/contacts, facilitate internal and external engagement and communication throughout projects, and obtain business sign off through demonstrations of work completed.
  • Make informed decisions about new opportunities and changes to products and services, based on market intelligence, product data and internal collaboration.
  • Work alongside the business, product owners and head of product management to develop business cases for products and support bid responses.
  • Create, manage, and communicate the product vision and roadmap both visually and verbally.
  • Facilitate workshops to produce story maps and iteration plans to assist in backlog prioritisation and ensure SCRUM teams always have a minimum of three sprints worth of work prepared.
  • Based on internal and external customer needs, describe, and communicate the requirements, ensuring requirements and recommended change is aligned to product roadmaps.
  • Write epics, features, and user stories, prioritise these items, and manage them in the product backlog.
  • Work with the business, product owners and head of product management to establish a vision for delivery, and to inform and engage them throughout delivery and implementation.

 

What we are looking for....

The ideal candidate will be CSPO certified or equivalent and have similar experience working as a Product Manager. You MUST have a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience of agile and SCRUM development methodologies and frameworks. Candidates with experience of Azure DevOps & MIRO is also desirable
